Background of Laura M. Fay, Principal

Laura is customer focused leader with over twenty years experience in on-demand, messaging and mobile wireless software solutions. She has a solid track record of delivering financial results, managing change and rapid growth, bringing new products to market and leveraging operational efficiencies. She has an excellent mix of management strength, technical and operational knowledge, inter-personal and analytical skills.

In her role as principal of L. Fay Associates, she has helped institute operational discipline in a number of early stage, high-tech companies and has had an important impact on product directions. In addition, her professional experience and background has enabled her to conduct effective due diligence on technologies, product development processes, teams and organizations which have provided significant influence on corporate mergers, business integrations and relocations.

Laura's most recent in-house professional experience includes VP Product Management at Salesforce.com & Sendia, where she delivered the company's mobile wireless offerings. Previous to that, as Vice President & General Manager of E*Trade Business Solutions she led the business through its most rapid business growth phase after the corporate acquisition of ShareData in 1998, where she had been President and Chief Operating Officer.

Also, Laura had held significant technology management roles of increasing responsibility since the earliest phases of her career. She has led product development teams at large enterprise organizations such as Lotus Development Corporation and IBM in addition to early stage companies like Scalix (founding executive), ISOCOR, Peerless Systems and Retix (co-founder).

Laura holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland, and an MBA from Santa Clara University, California. Laura received her Series 7 and 63 Securities licenses from the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD).
